Vietnam welcomes Korean firms to invest in social housing projects
A delegation of Korean construction and urban development firms is visiting Vietnam.
The Vietnamese Government welcomes Korean businesses to invest in affordable housing projects for low-income earners in Vietnam, the Government News quoted Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang as saying.
He made the statement during a reception for a delegation of Korean businesses operating in the construction and urban development sector in Hanoi on July 9, which was led by Jung Won-ju, Chairman of the Daewoo E&C Group and Chairman of the Korea Housing Builders’ Association.
The Deputy Prime Minister praised the success of Korean-invested projects, particularly those in green, smart, and modern urban development, contributing the socio-economic development of Vietnam, contributing to socio-economic development of Vietnam.
Mr. Jung thanked the Vietnamese Government, ministries and Hanoi city for supporting the group to build the Starlake urban area project, which is currently attracting significant secondary investment from major Korean and international players.
He said the Korean Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport is scheduled to visit Vietnam next week to promote housing development cooperation.
He affirmed that more Korean companies will come to Vietnam to explore opportunities and invest in specific projects.
