HCMC trade fair also offers opportunities for companies and production facilities to seek partnerships and expand markets.
The 2nd National Fair of Medicinal Herbs, Traditional Medicine, and Medicinal Products (VIETRAMED EXPO 2024) is being held from November 21 to 23 in District 7, Ho Chi Minh City.
The expo features over 300 organizations, enterprises, production facilities, and businesses involved in the cultivation, production, and distribution of medicinal herbs, traditional medicine, and herbal products. It also includes suppliers of smart healthcare and medical equipment, with a total of 425 booths.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Minister of Health Do Xuan Tuyen emphasized the significance of the development of medicinal herbs, herbal drugs, traditional medicine, and products from domestic sources.
“There are many preferential investment policies for the development of medicinal herbs that have been issued and applied to promote the cultivation and production of medicinal herbs towards industrialization and specialization,” he said.
He also underlined that this year’s expo provides crucial trade promotion opportunities, supporting localities, industry associations, and enterprises involved in the cultivation, exploitation, processing, and trading of medicinal herbs.
It will also benefit traditional medicine production facilities and hospitals by facilitating the exchange of experience and the strengthening of trade links. The initiative helps form a value chain linking farmers cultivating medicinal herbs, enterprises, and consumers.
The expo serves not only as a platform to display and introduce products but also offers opportunities for enterprises and production facilities to seek partners, expand markets, and promote the development of Vietnam’s herbal and traditional medicine industry.
Specialized seminars and workshops are being held within the framework of the expo on various topics, including applying the achievements of traditional medicine in treatment and healthcare; developing Vietnamese medicinal herbs in the era of Industry 4.0; cultivating medicinal herb areas and producing products from medicinal herbs in ethnic and mountainous regions under the national target program for socio-economic development; and trade conferences and product introductions.
