VSIP JSC picks up Golden Dragon Award 2022

At a ceremony honoring outstanding FDI enterprises with green growth in 2021-2022 on April 8 in Ho Chi Minh City, the VSIP JSC was recognized as being among the Top 10 sustainable foreign-invested enterprises in Vietnam by receiving a prestigious Golden Dragon Award.

Launched in 2001, the Golden Dragon Awards are the largest annual business awards ceremony co-hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Vietnam Economic Times - VnEconomy in recognition of foreign companies posting outstanding business achievements and making significant contributions to their industry and Vietnam’s socio-economic development.

With the theme “Green Growth and Sustainable Development”, the Golden Dragon Awards 2022 focused on identifying pioneering enterprises in innovation, creativity, digital technology, and green transformation in production, business, and corporate governance. Winning enterprises adopted policies and plans to proactively respond to Covid-19, ensure the rights and health of their employees, advocate policy reforms, identify principles to protect human safety and the environment, respect diversity, and promote inclusiveness.

Overcoming more than 600 “heavyweight” competitors over two rounds of rigorous survey and selection with strict criteria, winning a Golden Dragon Award further cements the VSIP JSC’s position as the leading sustainable Integrated Township and Industrial Park Developer in Vietnam.

After receiving the award, Mr. Benjamin Lam, CEO of Industrial Park Projects at the VSIP Group and COO of the VSIP JSC, said it is a great honor. “Promoting sustainability has become the new guideline for industrial park developers, in order to attract ‘eagles’ from global industry to make their nest in Vietnam,” he went on. “At VSIP, we have made sustainability our business. With a vision of being a people-centric, environmentally-friendly Integrated Township Developer providing the preferred choice for all to live, learn, work, and play, we promote sustainability by applying smart technologies, protecting the environment, fostering corporate social responsibility (CSR), and building awareness about corporate governance (ESG). Established in 2007 and consisting of VSIP Bac Ninh, VSIP Bac Ninh II, VSIP Hai Phong, and VSIP Hai Duong, VSIP JSC is now supplying production infrastructure to 210 customers from 30 countries and territories, with total investment of $6 billion and jobs for more than 100,000 domestic and foreign workers.

VSIP JSC is celebrating its 15^th anniversary this year. The Golden Dragon Award 2022 comes at such a special time and further affirms that the VSIP JSC is heading in the right direction. At the same time, the fair assessments within the Awards are a great source of motivation for the company to continue its outstanding efforts in both business and community contributions in the time to come.
