Working group for Capital region’s Ring Road No. 4 meets
First meeting of working group held to determine tasks within major transport project.

On February 10, the first meeting of a working group on implementing the Ring Road No. 4 project in the Capital region around Hanoi was held, chaired by Hanoi People’s Committee Chairman Chu Ngoc Anh, to determine tasks within the project.
The project is to have a total length of 111.2 km, from the Noi Bai - Lao Cai Highway to the Noi Bai - Ha Long Highway. Total investment is estimated at VND94.12 trillion ($4.16 billion), from the central budget, the local budget, investor capital, and other sources. Construction is from 2021 to 2028.
Ring Road No. 4 passes through three cities and provinces, including 58.2 km in Hanoi, in the seven districts of Soc Son, Me Linh, Dan Phuong, Hoai Duc, Thanh Oai, Thuong Tin, and Ha Dong. Some 19.8 km will be in Hung Yen province, in the four districts of Van Giang, Khoai Chau, Yen My, and Van Lam, and 24.2 km in Bac Ninh province, in Bac Ninh city and the three districts of Thuan Thanh, Que Vo, and Gia Binh.
According to Mr. Anh, the project will provide an important foundation for socio-economic development and urban development and also improve people’s lives. Members of the working group and leaders of ministries, branches, and localities related to the project are asked to focus on contributing comments and reviewing the size of investment in the project and coordination between central and local budgets to ensure investment is reasonable, harmonious, and feasible.
