2023 revenue of top 500 value-creating firms hits VND9 quadrillion ($359 bln)
The energy and petrol sector took the lead in terms of revenue with over VND 1.9 quadrillion ($76 billion).
Total revenue of the top 500 value-creating enterprises in Vietnam in 2023 was estimated at VND9 quadrillion ($359 billion), according to a nationwide research program on Vietnam’s top 500 value-creating companies.
The research result was released recently by Viet Research and the Investment Review.
The energy and petrol sector took the lead in terms of revenue with over VND 1.9 quadrillion ($76 billion), followed by electronics, banking and finance and food and beverage.
In spite of challenges in 2024, businesses remained optimistic about their revenue growth prospects. According to the research, 82.7% of the businesses believed that their revenue would increase, with 17.2% expecting the revenue growth of over 30% year-on-year.
On this occasion, the Viet Research and the Investment Review also announced the list of the top 500 value-creating enterprise in Vietnam for 2024 (Value 500).
The ranking is based on the evaluation of four key criteria for each company. These leading enterprises not only excel in revenue, profit, and contributions to the national budget but also play a pioneering role in shaping sustainable development trends, innovation, job creation, and human resource development. Their efforts enhance the competitiveness of the nation and bring value to shareholders, stakeholders, and society as a whole.
