475 social housing projects built, under construction or approved nationwide

There are 475 social housing projects with a total of over 432,000 units completed, under construction, or approved for low-income earners and workers at industrial parks in the 2021-2025 period, according to the Ministry of Construction.

The projects are part of the government’s master plan on building at least 1 million social housing units for low-income earners and workers at industrial parks in the 2021-2030 period.

Forty-six of these projects have been completed, supplying 20,210 units.

Meanwhile, construction is underway at 120 projects with 120,066 units, while the remaining 309 projects have been approved, with a total of 292,422 units.

Regarding the implementation of the VND120 trillion ($5 billion) credit package for the development of social housing projects, 23 localities have submitted lists of 54 eligible projects. Total investment required is over VND25.88 trillion ($1.078 billion).
