Hue city plans to build $757 mln urban area

Central Hue city plans to build an urban area in Thuan Hoa and Phu Vang districts with an estimated investment capital of over VND19.7 trillion ($757 million).

The projected 150-ha urban area will feature 2,700 houses, services centers, schools, parks and other education, healthcare and entertainment facilities for a population of nearly 10,000 people.

Construction is scheduled to start in the first quarter of 2026 and complete in the first quarter of 2034.

A bid is expected to be held in the second quarter of the year to choose investor for the project. The investor is required to spend at least 20% of land fund to build social houses.
