Binh Thuan targets GRDP growth of 8% by 2030
Master plan for south-central province has been approved by the government.
South-central Binh Thuan province has set an average GRDP growth target of 7.5-8 per cent in 2021-2030 under its provincial master planning approved by the government.
Provincial authorities held a ceremony to announce the master plan on February 28.
Industry and construction is to grow 11-12 per cent annually, services 7-7.5 per cent, and agriculture, forestry, and fisheries 2.5-3 per cent.
The province will strive to become a dynamic, sustainable, and prosperous province by 2030; a national and international beach resort tourism center; and one of Vietnam’s green energy hubs.
It also targets developing into a regional and domestic technology training and development center.
With a vision to 2050, Binh Thuan will become an important growth pole of the central coastal region with sustainable and strong development of its marine-based economy, a clean energy hub, and a regional and national science and technology and innovation center.
