On February 20, BM Windows took the stage at Zak World of Façades Sydney, joining industry experts in a deep dive into Vietnam’s role in the global façade supply chain, exploring both the opportunities and the obstacles that come with it.

As one of the most prominent conferences dedicated to façade design and engineering, Zak World of Façades has been held in over 40 countries. The 2025 Sydney edition, its 171st global event and fourth in the city, brought together leading voices from the industry to examine the latest advancements, sustainability imperatives, and the evolving demands of modern façade construction.

During the event, Mr. Tran Van Tien, CEO of BM Windows, and Mr. G. Michael Schmidt, Engineering Director, took part in discussions on the complexities of international procurement in façade construction. This highly technical field is subject to varying regulatory standards across different markets, while rapid advances in design trends and sustainability requirements add further challenges for suppliers. Australia, in particular, has stringent standards that demand careful adaptation from international companies.

“The international supply chain offers competitive pricing due to large-scale production, optimized processes, and the ability to leverage regional economic advantages, especially in developing countries like Vietnam. This helps optimize costs, thereby increasing investment value while ensuring product quality and facilitating project budget control,” said Mr. G. Michael Schmidt, discussing Vietnam’s role in the global façade supply chain.

For his part, Mr. Tran Van Tien underlined that to succeed in high-standard markets like Australia and North America, BM Windows focuses on three core elements: deep technical knowledge, close collaboration with international partners, and proactive project execution. Understanding project technical requirements is crucial for assessing risks, ensuring proactive implementation, and delivering façade systems on schedule and within budget.

Discussing the technical challenges of different markets, Mr. Tien noted that beyond thorough technical preparation and manufacturing capabilities, adaptability and a proactive mindset are key for international suppliers seeking to penetrate demanding markets. "Ultimately, transparency and professional collaboration are the decisive factors for BM Windows' project success," he emphasized.

BM Windows regularly participates in industry conferences like Zak World of Façades as part of its efforts to stay informed about global trends and technical standards. The company has supplied façades for various international projects, while domestically, it has completed over 600 projects in major Vietnamese cities.

BM Windows' participation in global projects and events not only reinforces its industry leadership but also reflects its commitment to bringing Vietnam’s façade expertise to the international stage. "Although Vietnam’s façade industry was not initially recognized globally for its technical excellence, our real-world project execution proves that BM Windows is ready to expand and strengthen the presence of Vietnamese façades worldwide," Mr. Tien concluded.
