Buon Ma Thuot coffee festival set to open in March

The festival aimed at honoring coffee growers and promoting Vietnamese coffee brand to the world.

The 9th  Buon Ma Thuot Coffee festival is scheduled to open in Central Highland Dak Lak province from March 9 to 13.

The event, themed “Buon Ma Thuot – a global coffee destination”, will feature a specialized coffee and One Commune One Product (OCOP) product exhibition fair, an international trade conference and a street festival.

On the sidelines of the event, a digital content creation competition aimed at promoting the festival online, a groundbreaking ceremony for the Trung Nguyen Legend energy coffee factory, and a coffee camp, will be organized.

The festival is aimed at honoring coffee growers and promoting Vietnamese coffee brand to the world, as well as showcasing tourism potential and investment promotion opportunities in the coffee industry. 

The national - level festival is held every two years.

Dak Lak is considered as the coffee capital of Vietnam and boasts the largest farming area in the country of around 210,000 ha with an annual output of more than 520,000 tons.
