Cassava export value totals over $700 mln in H1

Vietnam exports some 2.3 million tons of cassava and cassava products in the first six months of 2025.

Vietnam’s cassava and cassava product exports totaled 2.3 million tons in the first six months of 2025, with value estimated at $711.5 million, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment.

This represents remarkable increase of 68.6% and 12.8% in volume and value, respectively,  compared to the same period last year.

In June alone, 350,000 tons were shipped, worth $109.7 million.

The average export price in the first half of the year reached $304.1 per ton, down 33.1% year-on-year.

China continued to be the largest consumer of Vietnamese cassava and cassava products, accounting for 93.4% of the market share.

Total area of cassava cultivation in Vietnam is estimated at 517,800 ha with an annual output of 10.5 million tons of fresh cassava.

The annual average export value of cassava and cassava products reaches $1-1.2 billion.
