Construction of Vietnam-Singapore IP kicks off in Lang Son
Total investment estimated at $249 million.
Construction of a Vietnam Singapore Industrial Park (VSIP) kicked off in northern mountainous Lang Son province on June 14, the Bnews online newspaper has reported.
The VSIP Lang Son is the 16th of its kind in Vietnam, developed by the VSIP Joint Stock Company.
The project covers 600 ha in Huu Lung district.
Its total investment capital is estimated at over VND6.36 trillion ($249 million). Of which, the investor VSIP JSC contributed over VND954 billion ($37.48 million).
The first phase of the project is expected to be completed and put into operation in the third quarter of 2025, while the second phase will complete in September 2026 and the third in September 2027.
The industrial park is expected to create about 40,000 jobs when all the three phases come into operation.
