The People's Committee of Da Nang City in Central Vietnam has approved zoning plans for a high-tech zone and a foothill urban zone, covering  3,656 ha, and 2,832 ha, respectively.

The study area for the high-tech zone (excluding the expansion area of the Da Nang Hi-Tech Park) is located within Hai Van, Lien Chieu, and Hoa Khanh wards, and Ba Na commune.

The zoning plan will seamlessly connect key functional areas, including: the high-tech auxiliary zone; Centralized Information Technology Parks No. 1 and No. 2; the Hoa Ninh Industrial Park; existing industrial parks; and developing urban areas in Hai Van ward and Ba Na commune. Additionally, numerous large public spaces will be allocated to serve the daily living and recreational needs of the residents.

Meanwhile, the foothill urban zone will be designated for a projected population of nearly 195,000 people after 2030. The planned area is located within Hoa Khanh ward, Ba Na commune, and Hoa Vang commune.

This is a new urban area with a development focus on tourism, commerce, and services, combined with residential functions.
