Da Nang promotes tourism in Malaysia
Malaysia among the top 10 international tourist markets of the central city.
The Da Nang Department of Tourism organized a tourism promotion program in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on August 27, to introduce the central city’s tourism products and potential.
The event also helped to connect businesses from the central city with nearly 100 major Malaysian travel companies.
Addressing the event, Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Thi, Vice Chairwoman of the city’s People’s Committee, said Da Nang has focused investment on infrastructure and accommodation as well as development of new tourism products to enhance tourists’ experience.
Within the framework of the program, Malaysia Airlines announced its plan to open the Kuala Lumpur - Da Nang direct air route on September 24 with a frequency of seven flights per week, bringing the total number of airlines operating the air route to three with a frequency of 28 flights per week.
Malaysia is among the top 10 international tourist markets of the central city. In the first seven months of the year, Da Nang welcomed over 75,000 Malaysian tourists, almost reaching the level of the entirety of 2019, prior to the Covid-19 pandemic.
