Forum held in Taiwan to promote investment in Vietnam
According to the latest statistics, six major Taiwanese electronics groups have already invested in Vietnam.
A forum has recently been held to promote investment into Vietnam in Taiwan's Taoyuan City and Taichung City to promote investment into Vietnam, attracting over 100 Taiwanese businesses, the Vietnam News Agency reported.
Speaking at the forum, Mr. Vu Tien Dung, Head of the Vietnam Economic and Cultural Office in Taipei, highly praised the efforts to promote cooperation between Taiwanese and Vietnamese businesses over the years.
He acknowledged the contributions of Dr. Ngo Pham Tran, an overseas Vietnamese businesswoman in Taiwan, for organizing the forum and acting as a bridge connecting the two sides with practical results.
Delegates at the forum heard an overview of the investment environment and opportunities in Vietnam, with new policies on foreign investment, along with incentives and support from the Vietnamese government for foreign direct investment enterprises.
Dr. Ngo Pham Tran shared that, according to the latest statistics, six major Taiwanese electronics groups have already invested in Vietnam.
She forecasted that the global shift of electronic supply chains and stages in the semiconductor investment chain would take place, and with its stable political environment, favorable geographic location, potential high-quality human resources, and preferential investment policies, Vietnam is well-positioned to become an attractive investment destination.
