Frasers Property delivers first LEED-certified ready-built warehouse
Eco Logistics Centre’s design and construction phases were carried out in accordance with the LEED rating system from the US.

Frasers Property Vietnam has announced Vietnam’s first LEED-certified ready-built warehouse, the Eco Logistics Centre. Awarded by the US Green Building Council (USGBC), the certification recognizes the Binh Duong province-located development for its sustainability credentials under the LEED of Building Design and Construction: Warehouses and Distribution Centres rating system.
The Eco Logistics Centre’s design and construction phases were carried out in accordance with the LEED rating system. These comprise the implementation of practical, measurable strategies and solutions in its industrial warehouse estates, including designs that optimize energy performance, expecting savings of up to 25 per cent from similar properties; energy and water-efficient equipment; and advanced commissioning, sustainable materials selection, and indoor environmental quality.
Owned by the Chuong Duong Beverages Joint Stock Company and managed by Frasers Property Vietnam, the Eco Logistics Centre sits on more than 7.5 ha and provides warehousing space to sustainability-minded tenants. Beyond a focus on sustainability, technology and design elements have also been incorporated in the ready-built warehouse to enhance occupants’ productivity, health, and well-being.
“Achieving our first LEED-certified ready-built warehouse in Vietnam not only validates our asset strategy, but contributes to the country’s advancements in sustainability,” said Mr. Edwin Tan, Deputy CEO at Frasers Property Vietnam. “We are committed to further embedding sustainability across the lifecycle of our assets, with efforts entailing green building certification and retrofitting existing buildings to higher standards. These are important aspects in our value-creation for our partners, tenants, and customers.”
Developed by the USGBC, LEED is the world’s most widely used green building rating system and provides a framework for healthy, efficient, and cost-saving green buildings.
“LEED is a transformative tool that ensures a building is designed and operated to achieve high performance, improve human health, and protect the environment,” said Mr. Peter Templeton, President and CEO of USGBC. “By prioritizing sustainability, the Eco Logistics Centre is leading the way and helping USGBC continue towards its goal of green buildings for everyone within this generation.”
As a Group, Frasers Property is committed to be a net-zero carbon corporation by 2050, encompassing Scopes 1, 2 and 3 emissions. One of its sustainability goals focuses on green-certifying 80 per cent of all its owned and asset-managed properties by 2024. As it pursues new business opportunities locally and globally across commercial, hospitality, industrial and logistics, residential, and retail asset classes, all new and redeveloped properties will be green-certified in accordance with industry and international standards.
In late 2022, Frasers Property Vietnam became the first real estate company in Vietnam to be endorsed by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). It received approval from SBTi for its detailed net-zero carbon roadmaps and carbon reduction targets that help reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. As part of its SBTi plans, the company is progressively installing rooftop solar panels, allocating renewable energy for street lighting, and introducing energy and water-efficient building equipment and renewable energy across its portfolio.
The Eco Logistics Centre’s LEED certification marks Frasers Property Vietnam’s first step in progressively certifying all of its owned and managed industrial facilities around the country. The company is targeting LEED certification for a total of over a million sq m of international grade industrial facilities on more than 180 hectares of industrial land in both northern and southern Vietnam. These commitments support the country’s growing international appeal as an industrial powerhouse and as an emerging attraction for foreign investment.
