The Golden Dragon Awards 2022, organized by Tap Chi Kinh Te Viet Nam (VnEconomy) - Vietnam Economic Times (VET) on April 8, honored foreign-invested enterprises (FIEs) that are pioneers in innovation, creativity, green transformation, and digital technology application in production, business, and corporate governance.

The top 10 FIEs in Green Growth in 2021 were announced, as were the top 50 Outstanding FIEs in Vietnam in 2021 in six industry groups: Processing and manufacturing; Digital technology and digital services; Financial services and insurance; Infrastructure, industrial parks, and real estate; Education and healthcare; and Agriculture and food and beverages.

Winning enterprises have policies and plans regarding proactively responding to Covid-19, ensuring the rights and health of their employees, advocating for the politicization and regulation of principles, ensuring the safety of society and the environment, respecting diversity, promoting humanity, and ensuring inclusiveness in business strategies and action plans. “We are pleased that FIEs in Vietnam have actively responded to the theme of ‘green growth and sustainable development’ in the Golden Dragon Awards 2022, which will help contribute to the green transition strategy and green growth targets Vietnam has set,” said Mr. Chu Van Lam, Editor-in-Chief of Tap Chi Kinh Te Vietnam (VnEconomy) - Vietnam Economic Times (VET).

According to Mr. Phan Xuan Dung, Chairman of the National Assembly Committee for Science, Technology and Environment, the Vietnam Connect Forum and Golden Dragon Awards 2022 adopted an effective approach on promoting green transformation and green growth. These are important for Vietnam, as domestic resources are still limited, as is the ability of its small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to invest in digital and green transformation. “I appreciate the theme of this year’s program on promoting green growth and sustainable development,” he said. “Vietnam and the world are in need of green values for economic recovery after the severe impact of Covid-19 and in response to climate change. The pioneering efforts of FIEs in Vietnam and trends in green growth will therefore help the country accelerate its green transition and move towards reaching sustainable development goals.”
