HCM City to set up logistics development council
The council to focus on accelerating construction of 8 logistic centers in the city.
Ho Chi Minh City will establish the logistic development council which will focus on accelerating the construction of eight logistic centers in the southern metropolis, according to the municipal People’s Committee.
The committee has required the municipal Department of Home Affairs to coordinate with the Department of Industry and Trade and relevant agencies to study, review and soon complete the council.
The city plans to build eight new logistics centers from now to 2025 on a total area of over 750 ha.
The centers will be located in Thu Duc city and Cu Chi, Binh Chanh, Nha Be, and Hoc Mon districts.
Construction of the first center is scheduled to start in 2024.
