HCMC Export Furniture Fair opens
March 6-9 fair attracts over 500 domestic and foreign exhibitors.
The Ho Chi Minh City Export Furniture Fair 2024 (HawaExpo 2024) opened on March 6 with the participation of more than 500 domestic and foreign exhibitors, the Thoi Bao Tai Chính (Financial Times) has reported.
The four-day fair provides opportunities for enterprises to boost direct and online trading through Hopefairs and they can also expand sales on cross-border e-commerce platforms with support from Amazon and Wayfair.
A number of conferences will be held on the sidelines of the fair.
Addressing the opening ceremony, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Phan Thi Thang said it is expected to become an effective and professional annual trade promotion effort to help wood enterprises showcase their products and the latest technologies in wood production and processing, to expand export markets and contribute to promoting Vietnam’s wood processing industry in a sustainable and stable manner.
Vietnam earned nearly $1.5 billion from exporting wood and wooden products in the opening two months of this year, up 72.5 per cent year-on-year.
