National Cybersecurity Incident Response and Recovery Alliance etablished
Its mission is to respond promptly to cybersecurity incidents or emergencies affecting the information systems of various bodies and organizations.
The National Cybersecurity Incident Response and Recovery Alliance has been officially established at the 2024 year-end review and 2025 task deployment conference of the National Cybersecurity Association on January 18.
The alliance, formed in accordance with the Law on Cybersecurity, will be spearheaded by the Department of Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention under the Ministry of Public Security.
Its mission is to respond promptly to cybersecurity incidents or emergencies affecting the information systems of various ministries, branches, localities, as well as key economic corporations and businesses.
Additionally, the alliance will ensure the collection of data and electronic evidence in compliance with legal regulations on criminal proceedings, aiding the effective handling of cybercrimes.
Lieutenant General Nguyen Minh Chinh, Director of the Department of Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention, and Standing Vice President of the Association, highlighted that in 2024, the department successfully led, coordinated, and recovered from 27 major cybersecurity incidents involving key agencies, units, and businesses.
He emphasized that the establishment of the National Cybersecurity Incident Response and Recovery Alliance marks a significant step forward in Vietnam's efforts to safeguard cybersecurity and information security.
