OfficeHaus in HCMC to hold topping-out ceremony as it readies for opening

After two years of preparations and construction, OfficeHaus is now one step closer to its grand opening

OfficeHaus marks a major milestone in its construction with a topping-out ceremony today. In attendance will be key partners such as Gamuda Land - one of the region’s most established land owners and real estate developers, COFICO - the general contractor, Artelia Vietnam - which supervised the entire construction process, Korn Architects - the architectural design firm behind OfficeHaus’ seamless Bauhaus-inspired minimalist layout, and other partners making significant contributions to the new building.

COFICO, which is one of Vietnam’s most respected construction companies, was retained by OfficeHaus to construct the office building in accordance with the former’s vision. With COFICO’s indisputable reputation and experience, OfficeHaus has managed to follow a tight construction schedule amid Covid-19 lockdowns and international territorial disputes affecting logistics, gasoline, and material prices.

Located in Celadon City in the heart of Tan Phu district in Ho Chi Minh City, OfficeHaus has been creating a buzz since it began site clearance work in November 2020, propelling excitement over one of the city’s most anticipated real estate projects.

According to Mr. Oliver Brazier, Director of OfficeHaus, the topping-out ceremony is one of the final steps before OfficeHaus officially begins operations. It is proud to have come this far on schedule despite challenges such as Covid lockdowns. “We are proud to see this super-efficient office building finally taking shape with all our partners’ effort and hard work,” he said. “Trusting COFICO to build OfficeHaus from the ground up was the right decision, and in a few months we’ll be ready to welcome our tenants and let them experience the quality service of OfficeHaus.”

Mr. Le Dang Vinh, General Director of COFICO, noted that OfficeHaus provided COFICO with space to decide on many issues within its authority. “There were a lot of factors that needed to be considered during the construction, and we are happy that we were given full trust,” he said. “Our motto has always been serving clients to the best of our ability, providing quality, and saving costs for both the investor and COFICO. We look forward to seeing the building in operation and knowing that we made an impact on Vietnam’s new generation of workers.”

The 23,000 sq m, seven-story office building offers more than 2,500 sq m of floor plates, currently the largest in the market, and a future-proof design centered on functionality, safety, and uncompromised work-life balance. The whole building blends technological advancements with minimalist super-efficient floor plans, following Bauhaus’ concept of “form follows function”. Featuring contactless lifts, hands-free access to shared spaces, and a smart building management system, OfficeHaus is proud to lead Vietnam’s office revolution post-pandemic.

With its promise to promote sustainability, OfficeHaus also applied LEED Gold certification throughout the entire process of designing and construction. An integrated rooftop solar power system is also part of its bigger mission to maintain all of its operations in the most environmentally-beneficial ways.

“The design for OfficeHaus appears straightforward with clear lines,” said Mr. Axel Korn, Founder of Korn Architects. “At second glance, it reveals a smart internal organization of functions that lead to efficiency and convenience for future tenants. This reflects the values of ‘Neues Bauen’ promoted by Bauhaus in Germany. With its attention to detail, OfficeHaus stands out as a new landmark for office buildings in Vietnam.”

Awarded Best Low-rise Office Development 2021 at the PropertyGuru Vietnam Awards, OfficeHaus will begin the handover of units in October. Vietnam Star Automobile, a division of the largest Mercedes-Benz retail dealer group in the world - LSH Auto International - has already signed a deal to open the most advanced Mercedes-Benz showroom at OfficeHaus.
