Phu Yen to build coastal road to boost sea-based economy
New link in south-central province to receive investment of an estimated $92.5 million.
The Phu Yen Provincial People’s Council has approved the construction of the Tuy An - Tuy Hoa coastal road in the south-central province.
In the first phase, in 2023-2025, the project will have estimated investment capital of VND1.328 trillion ($55 million), to be mobilized from the State and provincial budgets.
In the second phase, from 2026-2028, the project will have investment of VND900 billion ($37.5 million).
The new link will help boost regional transport and create the conditions to effectively use maritime resources in Phu Yen province and the south-central region.
It is also important in implementing the province’s master planning, with a focus on the development of coastal urban areas, sea tourism, and the sea-based economy, said Deputy Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Le Tan Ho.
