PM calls for nationwide effort to build startup nation
Strategic pillars including raising public awareness, building and refining institutional frameworks, support policies, human resources and ecosystem building, among others.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has called for nationwide effort to participate in entrepreneurship and innovation, and digital transformation towards the goal of building a start-up nation.
He made the call while chairing a Government meeting held in Hanoi on July 22 to deliberate key policy matters, including a draft regulation on build-transfer (BT) contracts, the implementation of a top-up corporate income tax under global anti-base erosion rules, and a national startup development strategy.
Regarding the startup nation strategy, PM Chinh called for a clearer articulation of innovation and digital transformation.
He highlighted several strategic pillars, including raising public awareness, building and refining institutional frameworks, encouraging internal resources and promoting self-reliance and resilience among key stakeholders.
He also stressed the need for targeted support policies, human resource development, ecosystem building, regular evaluations, recognition of best practices and strong public communication efforts to promote successful models and innovative approaches.
