PM instructs Quang Binh to develop into world-level tourism destination
The province wellkown as "kindgom of caves".
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh instructed central Quang Binh province to focus on building breakthrough mechanisms and policies to turn the province into a center of nature tourism and a world-level attractive destination that capitalizes on advantages of this “kingdom of caves”.
Addressing a ceremony held on June 2 to celebrate the 420th founding anniversary of the province, PM Chinh also suggested the province to further tap into its distinctive potential, outstanding opportunities and competitive edges, and promote human resources, science and technology and innovation.
The province should also develop transport infrastructure; form new urban areas and industrial parks to attract more investment and facilitate trade and tourism; speed up digital transformation and green transition; promote circular economy, knowledge-based and sharing economy, and fostering energy, AI and semiconductor sectors as well as other emerging ones.
The Government leader also directed the province to tap its advantages of seaports, airport and international border gates to develop Quang Binh into an important trading hub in the central region.
Quang Binh posted a high annual average growth of 7.9% in the 1991-2023 periods.
