PM proposes boost to Vietnam-US trade and investment

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh proposed that Vietnam and the US continue to promote cooperation in various fields, including economy, trade, investment, science and technology, innovation, digital transformation, and climate change response.

Speaking at a reception for a delegation from the US Senate led by Senator Mike Crapo in Hanoi on May 26, Prime Minister Chinh asked the US senators for help in opening up the US market and limiting anti-dumping investigations and trade remedy measures against Vietnamese goods, especially agriculture, forestry and fisheries products.

He stressed that Vietnam treasures its comprehensive partnership with the US.

The US senators said they will work to boost relations between the two countries more effectively and practically and hope for stronger partnerships in trade and investment, and support negotiations on bilateral and multilateral trade agreements to which both countries are party.
