PM sets agricultural export value of $70 bln for 2025
The sector's annual growth expected at 3.5-4%.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has set a target for the agricultural sector to gain $70 in export revenue from its products in 2025.
The sector should strive for the growth of 3.5-4% next year, he said while addressing a conference to review the sector’s performance in 2024 and launch tasks for 2025, which was held in Hanoi on December 27.
The forest coverage rate is expected to be maintained at a stable level of 42.02%.
In 2024, the overall production value of the sector is estimated to grow by 3.3%.
For 2025, the sector targets a growth rate of 3.3-3.4%; total agro-forestry-fishery export value of $64-65 billion; and a stable forest coverage rate of 42.02%.
