Quang Ninh strives to welcome 17-20 million tourists in 2024

Northern Quang Ninh province set a target of welcoming 17-20 million tourists in 2024, including 3 million foreign visitors.

According to the target, total tourism revenue is expected at VND39.1 trillion ($1.54 billion).

The province welcomed 10.4 million tourists in the first six months of the year, up 18% compared to the same period last year, according to the provincial Statistics Office.

The province posted a tourism revenue of over VND22.28 trillion ($882 million) in the six-month period, a year-on-year growth of 34%.

Nearly 2 million foreign tourists visited the province, marking a remarkable increase of 140% year-on-year.

In order to achieve the yearly target, the provincial tourism industry will continue diversifying and promoting tourism products to attract more tourists.
