Quang Tri opens its first tourist seaport
This is the province's first tourist seaport, marking a significant step in developing infrastructure for sea and island tourism, particularly for the Cua Viet – Con Co route.

The Vietnam Maritime and Waterway Administration (under the Ministry of Construction) has decided to open Wharf No 4 in the North Cua Viet Port Area, located in Gio Linh district, central Quang Tri province.
This is the province's first tourist seaport, marking a significant step in developing infrastructure for sea and island tourism, particularly for the Cua Viet – Con Co route.
According to the announcement, Wharf No. 4, located in Cua Viet town, is designed as a pier-style wharf with a length of 70 m. The port can accommodate domestic passenger ships with a maximum capacity of around 200 people, or other suitably sized vessels.
Mr. Ho Van Hoan, Deputy Director of the Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, stated that Wharf No. 4 is the first tourist seaport in the province and is an important component of the "Tourism Infrastructure for Inclusive Growth in the Greater Mekong Subregion Project, Phase 2 – Quang Tri Province Sub-project."
The Cua Viet tourist port plays a strategic role in connecting sea and island tourist routes, especially the Cua Viet – Con Co route. The establishment of the port will not only serve passenger transport but also create an infrastructure foundation for more sustainable and comprehensive tourism development.
