Quang Tri's GRDP up 5.02% in 1H

Central Quang Tri province registered a GRDP growth of 5.02% year-on-year in the first six months of 2024.

Of which, the agro-forestry-fishery sector rose 3.34%, industry and construction sector 4.55%, and services 6.14%.

The province’s Index of Industrial Production (IIP) was estimated to surge 2.52% compared to the same period last year. Of which, the processing and manufacturing sector was up 3.68%, electricity production and distribution 1.15% and mining 0.72%.

The province also enjoyed signification growth in trade and services with total retail sales of consumer goods and services reaching over VND17.288 trillion ($679 million), a year-on-year increase of 12.26%.

During the six-month period, there were 172 newly-established enterprises with a combined registered capital of over VND1.48 trillion ($58.1 million).
