Some 15.7 mln foreign tourists visited Vietnam in 11M
Foreign arrivals in November hit record high of 1.7 million.
Vietnam welcomed over 15.7 million foreign tourists in the first 11 months of the year, marking a significant growth of 41% compared to the same period of 2023, according to the Viet Nam National Authority of Tourism.
In November alone, the number of foreign arrivals reached 1.7 million, a record figure in a month since the early year, and up 38.8% year-on-year.
Total tourism revenue in the 11-month period was estimated at VND758 trillion ($29.7 billion).
Regarding markets, around 80% of the tourists came from Asia, with South Korea taking the lead with 4.13 million, up 128.3% year-on-year. China came second with 3.3 million, up 222%.
In Europe, the UK was the top tourist source market for Vietnam, with over 279,000 visitors, followed by France, Germany, and Russia.
With such positive results, the country is on track to realize its goal of 18 million international visitors this year, the Viet Nam National Authority of Tourism believed.
