South Korean investor successfully eliminates coal at Vietnam factory
The transition from coal to biomass boilers was finalized on January 15, 2025

Youngone Corporation, a South Korean investor, has announced the successful completion of its coal elimination project at its textile dyeing factory in the northern province of Nam Dinh.
This significant achievement marks a pivotal step towards environmental sustainability and the company's commitment to decarbonization.
The transition from coal to biomass boilers, using eco-friendly rice husk pellets, was finalized on January 15, 2025, further underscoring Youngone Corporation’s dedication to combating climate change and reducing carbon emissions. The company's ambitious goal of reducing carbon emissions by 40% by 2030 is therefore well on its way to becoming a reality.
Initiated in early 2023, the coal removal project began with comprehensive feasibility studies and meticulous design planning.
The first biomass boiler was installed in the third quarter of 2023, followed by the installation of additional boilers. To date, three major boilers, including steam and heat transfer oil boilers, have been successfully replaced at the Nam Dinh facility.
