On October 10, the first day of domestic flights being reopened, only eleven official commercial flights were conducted, while 27 others were canceled due to storms and local quarantine regulations.
The Ministry of Transport (MoT) has permitted airlines to conduct domestic flights from October 10. Flights on 19 routes around the country have been allowed, with 38 round-trip flights a day.
Of the 20 cities and provinces in Vietnam with airports, nine have agreed with a plan to reopen domestic flights. Further adjustments to flight frequency are still needed, however.
