Thanh Hoa registers tourism revenue of $1.1 bln in 7M

Central Thanh Hoa province registered total tourism revenue of over VND27.86 trillion ($1.1 billion) in the first seven months of the year, marking an impress growth of 40.5% year-on-year, figures from the provincial authorities show.

The province welcomed more than 12.9 million tourists in the seven-month period, up 20.7% compared to the same period last year. Of which, 401,000 were foreign visitors.

The local tourism sector has gained significant growth over the past years, making important contribution to the province’s socio-economic development.

In the 2020-2023 period, 34.3 million tourists visited the province, including over 918,000 international holiday makers. The annual growth rate was estimated at 6.6%.
