North-central Thanh Hoa province aims to become a large-scale center for manufacturing and processing by 2030 under its planning for the 2021-2030 period and vision to 2045.

The planning has been given the green light by the government.

It targets promoting its special important strategic position and potential for rapid and sustainable socio-economic development.

The province is expected to become a new growth driver and form a development quadrangle with Hanoi, Hai Phong, and Quang Ninh in Vietnam’s north.

By 2030, Thanh Hoa will become a major center for heavy industry, energy, manufacturing and processing, agriculture, logistics, tourism, education and training, and healthcare in the northern region and the country as a whole. The province plans to have 115 industrial parks on a total area of over 5,267 ha.

It is expected to become a modern and comprehensively developed locality by 2045.
