Construction officially began May 21 on the Khoai Chau urban complex, ecotourism, and golf course project (Trump International Hung Yen) in Hung Yen province, with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh in attendance.

The project spans nearly 1,000 ha with a total investment of over $1.5 billion. It includes a 54-hole VIP golf course system, a resort area, luxury villas, a modern urban complex, and international-standard amenities, according to a report from the Government News.

As part of a strategic partnership between The Trump Organization and Hung Yen Company – a member company of Kinh Bac City Development Holding Corporation – this is the first Trump-branded project in Vietnam.

Speaking at the event, PM Chinh emphasized that this project holds significant importance in promoting deeper, more substantive, and effective Vietnam-US relations.

It affirms the confidence of foreign investors, including US investors, in Vietnam; contributes to the rapid, sustainable, green, clean, and beautiful development of Hung Yen and Vietnam with world-class projects; enhances the brand value of Hung Yen in particular and Vietnam in general; facilitates the transfer of advanced management technology; and contributes to job creation and livelihoods for the people, he said.

In fact, leading US corporations such as Intel, Nike, Apple, Boeing, Nvidia, and now The Trump Organization, are expanding their investments, affirming their confidence in Vietnam's business environment.

The PM recalled that during his first term, US President Donald Trump visited Vietnam twice, leaving a lasting positive impression. The Vietnam-US Comprehensive Strategic Partnership has continued to flourish, playing a pivotal role in promoting peace, cooperation, and development both regionally and globally. Vietnam looks forward to welcoming President Trump back in the future.

Acknowledging that the presence of Mr. Eric Trump and his wife at the groundbreaking ceremony provided motivation and inspiration for the project, the Prime Minister stated that the groundbreaking is just the beginning.

"The upcoming workload is immense, including completing the design, site clearance for a large area, and organizing construction to ensure progress, quality, technical and aesthetic standards, environmental hygiene, and labor safety," said PM Chinh.

Mr. Dang Thanh Tam, Chairman of Kinh Bac company, said that the two partners share a common vision for the province's potential to become a leading golf and lifestyle destination in Asia. With their outstanding experience in developing world-class golf courses, both sides are very excited to realize this vision.

Mr. Eric Trump, Executive Vice President of The Trump Organization, assessed Vietnam as currently one of the most dynamic and promising markets in the world.

He expressed pride in bringing the Trump legacy to a country with vision, vitality, and strong growth, emphasizing that this project is not merely an iconic structure but also a commitment to excellence, a tribute to culture, and a lasting mark on Vietnam's future.

He emphasized that investors are committed to completing the project in just over 2 years, making it the best and most prestigious golf course in the world.
