Vietnamese airports serve 2.5 mln passengers during Tet holiday
The holiday lasting from January 24 to February 2.
Airports across Vietnam served around 2.5 million passengers, up 17.8% year-on-year, including 1.35 million international passengers (up 23%), during the Lunar New Year (Tet) holiday from January 24 to February 2, according to the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV).
Notably, Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City served approximately 1.38 million passengers while Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi processed around 900,000 passengers, and Da Nang International Airport in central Da Nang city handled over 381,000 passengers, up 7.6%, 12%, and 26% year-on-year, respectively.
Vietnamese airlines transported over 1.67 million passengers, marking a 12.8% increase, and nearly 7,000 tons of cargo, up 4% compared to the same period last year.
