VinaPhone and VNPT-Media to merge into parent company
In 2024, the total revenue of the VNPT Group reached VND58.54 trillion (over $2.44 billion).

Under the Government's Resolution No. 186/NQ-CP, dated June 25, 2025, the merger of the VNPT Telecommunications Service Corporation (VNPT-VinaPhone) and the VNPT Media Corporation (VNPT-Media) into their parent company – the Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT), has been approved.
The merger was based on a proposal from the Ministry of Finance and in accordance with the regulations in Decree 23/2022/NĐ-CP on the organization and restructuring of 100% State-owned enterprises.
Accordingly, after the Prime Minister approves the policy, VNPT's Members' Council will decide on the merger. The Ministry of Finance is responsible for finalizing the documents for submission to the Prime Minister within three days of the resolution's issuance and will also oversee the implementation process to ensure the effective use of state capital.
The merger must ensure a streamlined organizational structure, smooth operations, and enhanced efficiency in the management and use of state investment capital. This process must fully comply with all current laws and regulations.
In 2024, the total revenue of the VNPT Group reached VND58.54 trillion (over $2.44 billion). Of this, the parent company's revenue stood at VND41.995 trillion ($1.6 billion), meeting 100.1% of its target and representing a 7% increase compared to the same period in 2023.
