VNG expects that Vietnam will become technology capital of Asia
As one of the largest tech companies in Vietnam, the VNG Corporation hopes that the country will move further ahead in technology development.

The VNG Corporation shared its expectation that Vietnam would become the technology capital of Asia over the next decade at the US-Vietnam Innovation and Investment Summit on September 11, held on the occasion of US President Joe Biden’s State visit from September 10-11.
It also anticipates expanding partnerships with US companies in the fields of game licensing, cloud computing, and, especially, artificial intelligence (AI), and is building large language models specifically for Vietnamese based on open-source code from American technology companies.
“We hope the governments of the two countries will prioritize and support US investments in Vietnam in the field of cloud and AI through industrial policies and tax incentives,” a representative of VNG said.
Commenting on the proposal, a VNG representative said that to succeed in the field of AI, businesses need to access large capital sources and build a global brand. VNG also expects Vietnam to become a key technology and R&D center in Asia over the next ten years thanks to its large, highly-educated technical workforce and dynamic entrepreneurial culture.
In addition, according to VNG’s 2023 business development strategy in Vietnam, the corporation continues to improve the technological capacity of key products, aiming to “Go Global”, and has identified Digital Transformation as the focus of development to serve business customers in the future.
