Central Ha Tinh province targets to plant an additional 7,000-8,000 ha of forest each year as part of its master plan on developing the forest ecosystem by 2030 with a vision to 2050.

The growth rate of the forestry sector is forecast to reach 3-4% annually by 2050.
The total area of forest with sustainable forest management certification will reach 37,000 ha by 2030.
The province so far has more than 30,600 ha of forest granted with sustainable forest management certification.
The provincial People’s Committee asked relevant departments and agencies to develop legal sources of wood and improve the value of the wood processing industry. The province’s annual wood exploitation from planted forest is estimated at 500,000 cu m.
