Coal and mine group posts January revenue of $476 mln

The Group producing 2.95 million tons of raw coal last month, surpassing its target.

The Vietnam Coal and Mineral Industries Group (TKV) earned a revenue of over VND12.2 trillion ($476 million) in January, fulfilling its target, according to the group’s recent announcement.

In the month,  TKV produced 2.95 million tons of raw coal, equivalent to 102% of the target, and sold nearly 3.69 million tons. Additionally,  it generated more than 933 million kWh of electricity.

The group is expected to produce 3.09 million tons of raw coal, and sell over 4 million tons of coal in February. It will also strive to generate 836 million kWh of electricity.

The TKV said it will continue to reserving and supplying enough coal for electricity generation and to meet the economy’s demand.
