Construction of link to Hanoi’s Ring Road 3 underway
Total investment in 3.4-km link estimated at $135.5 million.
Hanoi kicked off construction of a road connecting the Phap Van - Cau Gie Expressway and Ring Road No. 3 on July 19, with investment estimated at over VND3.24 trillion ($135.5 million).
The funding comes from the city’s budget.
Construction of the six-lane, 3.4-km link is expected to be completed by 2025.
Once completed, it will ease traffic congestion at the Phap Van Intersection, which is a gateway to Vietnam’s capital.
The project was approved by the Prime Minister in 2020.
Hanoi plans to implement 238 public investment projects this year, including 96 transport projects with total capital of VND7.52 trillion ($314 million), accounting for 53.1 per cent of its capital plan.
In the first half of the year the city disbursed over VND15.9 trillion ($670 million) worth of public investment capital, equivalent to 33.9 per cent of the annual plan, figures from the municipal Department of Planning and Investment show.
