Da Nang approves public projects worth $47 m in total
Investment capital to be mobilized from the city's budget.
The People’s Council of central Da Nang city has approved investment policies for seven key projects with a combined investment capital of over VND1.2 trillion ($47 million) from the city’s budget.
They include projects building an archive center of the city’s Administrative Center worth VND328.3 billion ($12.8 million); upgrading drainage and lighting systems and putting telecommunications cable underground for four main streets with an estimated cost of nearly VND382 billion ($15 million); and constructing a 10.5-m road connecting Ho Nghinh road and Bach Dang road with an investment capital of over VND115 billion ($4.68 million).
Other projects will build a primary school and upgrade and expand roads in Son Tra district with a roadbed width of 3.5-4 m to 5.5m.
Addressing the 17th session of the municipal People’s Council on May 24, Standing Vice Chairman of the People’s Council Tran Phuoc Son said the approval by the People's Council will significantly drive the city’s socio-economic development, particularly its socio-economic growth.
