Expressway projected to connect Central Highlands and south-central coastal regions
Total investment capital estimated at $1.478 billion.
The People’s Committees of Gia Lai and Binh Dinh provinces have submitted to the Prime Minister a project building a publicly invested expressway linking localities in the Central Highlands and the south- central coastal region.
Under the project, the 4-lane expressway, with a roadbed width of nearly 25 m, runs 143.2 km between Quy Nhon city, capital of the south-central coastal province of Binh Dinh, and Pleiku city, capital of the Central Highlands province of Gia Lai.
Total investment capital is estimated at more than VND37.65 trillion ($1.478 billion).
The expressway will help connect seaports of the central coastal region with the Vietnam – Laos – Cambodia intersection and other countries like Thailand and Myanmar.
