Forum on digital transformation in agriculture coming up

With the theme “Keeping up with market trends, ensuring the pivotal role of the economy during and after the Covid-19 pandemic”, the Vietnam Agricultural Digital Transformation International Forum 2021, being held online on September 16, will feature public-private policy dialogue between the government and the private sector and related parties in order to implement the Prime Minister’s directive on digital transformation in the agricultural sector.

Solutions to promote digital transformation will also be proposed, to meet the needs of the market and shape the process to 2035. Two thematic sessions and one plenary session will take place, on “Improving the Ecosystem for Vietnam’s Agriculture Digital Transformation” and “Developing Human Resources to Meet the Needs of Vietnam’s Agricultural Digitalization”, with the participation of experts and representatives from domestic and international businesses.

The plenary session, with the theme “Catching up with market trends, promoting the supporting role of the economy in the context of the pandemic and post-Covid-19” will be attended by ministers, agencies leaders, representatives of businesses, large corporations, associations, and international organizations, and experts. Delegates will discuss the difficulties and advantages of digital transformation in Vietnam and the opportunities for the country’s agriculture sector to break through, thereby providing solutions and resources for digital agriculture.

This will be the first time a large-scale agriculture forum in Vietnam has applied virtual reality technology.
