Fruit & vegetable processing still at low level

Only 12-17 per cent of the 31 million tons of fruit and vegetables produced in Vietnam each year are processed, while more than 76 per cent of exported fruit and vegetables are also unprocessed, mainly in the fresh or semi-processed form. It is therefore necessary for Vietnam to invest in technology in processing fruit and vegetables.
