HCM City plans to complete 2,800 social houses in 2025

The city targets 69,700 - 93,000 social houses by 2030.

Ho Chi Minh City plans to complete four social housing projects this year,  with over 2,800 apartments, according to the municipal Department of Construction.

Meanwhile, construction of eight other projects is scheduled to start this year, supplying nearly 8,000 units.

From 2021, the city put into operation five social housing projects with 2,377 units and one project for workers with 368 houses.

In order to accelerate social housing projects, the city authorities have regularly held meetings with relevant departments and agencies to tackle related difficulties and obstacles, as well as organize investment promotion conferences to call for investors to invest in building social houses.

The city has recently worked with 11 local businesses and they registered to invest in building 40,000 units.

Under the city’s social housing development program in 2021-2030, the city targets to build 69,700 – 93,000 social houses by 2030.
