Hoa Lac Hi-tech Park attracts $4.69 bln investment so far
The park has lured some 108 projects.
Hanoi's Hoa Lac High-tech Park has so far attracted 108 projects with a total registered investment capital of around VND116 trillion ($4.69 billion), according to the park's Management Board.
They include 93 domestic projects and 15 FDI ones.
Speaking at the Hi-tech Investment Promotion Forum held in Hanoi on September 30, Mrs. Phan Thi My, Acting Head of the Hoa Lack Hi-tech Park Management Board, said the park has set up special environment and policies to attract investment and has drew some leading domestic and foreign investors.
The park has produced high-tech products, contributing to meet domestic and foreign demand. It has gradually formed a linkage between training, research and production as well as creating a technological innovative environment with training, research, implementation and innovation centers.
The amended Capital Law defines the Hoa Lac Hi-tech Park as an area specializing in hi-tech research, development, testing and application as well as training and production of high-tech products and innovation, not only for the capital city but for the whole country, she said.
The park also serves as a center of testing and piloting mechanisms and policies for the development of high technology and other hi-tech parks.
Ms. My said the park's management board committed to accompany the business community and investors and continue promoting administrative reform, supporting enterprises and creating favorable business and investment environment so that the Hoa Lac Hi-tech Park would become a platform for Vietnamese hi-tech enterprises to further develop.
