Khanh Hoa planning to build modern, ecological, world-class ‘airport urban area’

Deputy Prime Minister Le Van Thanh has sent a document to the Ministry of Construction and the Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee agreeing to the formation of a new urban master plan for Cam Lam district.

The Deputy Prime Minister assigned the south-central province’s People’s Committee to assume prime responsibility for organizing the formulation of tasks and a new urban master plan in Cam Lam district, in parallel with the implementation of provincial planning for the 2021-2030 period and vision to 2050. The objective is to develop Cam Lam district into a modern, ecological, and world-class “airport urban area”.

The specific determination of the planning scope, nature, functions, population size, and criteria for the new urban area must be carefully calculated based on natural conditions, existing population status, and development potential, and be in accordance with regulations.

The Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee recently signed a decision approving the land use planning in Cam Lam district to 2030. Through research, the province has sent a document to the Prime Minister on the policy for preparing a new urban master plan in Cam Lam district and part of Cam Ranh city. Cam Lam district is also to develop modern trade and services in the northern reaches of the Cam Ranh Peninsula, to serve transactions, shopping, and tourism development.
