Locations for cruide oil, LNG warehouses appproved
Thanh Hoa province is currently operating six oil storage facilities with a total capacity of 753,860 cu.m.
Locations for the construction of national reserve warehouses for crude oil and liquefied natural gas (LNG) in central Thanh Hoa province's Nghi Son Economic Zone have been approved by the provincial People's Committee.
The selected 140-hectare area will be submitted to the Ministry of Industry and Trade for planning the construction of the national reserve warehouses.
Thanh Hoa province currently has one oil processing plant, the Nghi Son Oil Refinery and Petrochemical Plant, with an annual capacity of 10 million tons of crude oil. The plant produces approximately 7.6 million tons of gasoline, oil, and other chemicals.
In addition, the province operates six oil storage facilities with a total capacity of 753,860 cu.m. Five others, totaling 146,900 cu.m, are under construction.
