Call for Noi Bai buses to have special priority

The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV) has suggested that vehicles used to transfer passengers to and from Hanoi’s Noi Bai International Airport be considered “green lane” means of transport, which are prioritized to operate in special lanes into Covid-19 prevention and control areas. It has also suggested that there be written instructions for Vietnamese citizens wanting to return to Vietnam as well as guidelines for airlines carrying passengers from Vietnam to international destinations, so they will not be forced to return to the country.

Switzerland has affirmed it will continue to provide ODA to Vietnam in the 2021-2024 period in the fields of human resource training, urban development, poverty alleviation, and sustainable development. The country will also provide 500,000 Covid test kits, 300,000 face masks, 30 ventilators, and other medical equipment and supplies. The two countries will focus on cooperation in sustainable development, modern governance, human resources training, innovation, and digital transformation.

Thousands of old apartment blocks to be renovated

The Prime Minister has signed Decree No. 69/2021/ND-CP, effective from September 1, on the “Renovation and reconstruction of apartment buildings”, replacing Decree No. 101 from 2015. According to the Ho Chi Minh City Real Estate Association (HoREA), more than 2,000 old apartment buildings around the country that are 50 years of age or older are in need of renovation or reconstruction and the endeavor will be costly.
